Peer Grief Support Program Assistant
Are you interested in supporting professionals who work with people who use drugs? Do you have lived experience in direct care service delivery and an understanding of grief and loss? Peer Support Community Partners LLC, funded by the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), is seeking an Outreach Program Assistant to provide peer grief support to those who face the challenging reality of frequent fatalities among their participants and colleagues.
In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with organizations across Massachusetts to offer peer grief support and promote our programs to direct service providers. You’ll deliver program overviews, facilitate connections, and represent us at statewide events. This position involves remote work and travel, emphasizing working independently while collaborating with a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and nurture partnerships with organizations that support those who work with people who use drugs.
Provide peer grief support through group facilitation, training, and outreach activities.
Promote the program by attending events, sharing event information, and communicating with organizations to ensure information is accessible to people who use drugs.
Travel statewide (approximately 20% of your time) to deliver support and attend events.
Provide Administrative support by maintaining records of the program. Collaborating in meetings with teams and companies to enhance services and program development.
Qualifications:
Experience in substance use treatment, recovery, or homelessness services.
Interested in serving individuals in the community that have faced grief and loss, particularly in relation to the workplace or community settings.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to meet deliverables and communicate with team members if troubleshooting is required.
Ability to collaborate and work with a team effectively to provide services and program development.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Writing Proficiency: Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and writing are essential.
Moderate to advanced Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Zoom.
Requirements:
Must live in Massachusetts.
Must have working Wi-Fi and own cell phone, along with a quiet space to work from. PSCP will provide a laptop and monitor.
Must have reliable transportation to be able to attend events as required by the scope of work.
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
Working Hours: This position is from Monday to Friday; from 9AM-5PM EST
Employee will be required to work up to 40 hours per week, with variable scheduling.
Compensation Range:
Position ranges from $48,000 to $52,000 a year. Compensation is dependent on experience.
